Our first holiday in Barbados was an unforgettable experience, thanks to much help and advice from the owner of the apartment, who went the extra mile to make sure that we were comfortable, had everything that we needed (she even took us in her own car to the local shops on our first day!), and gave us every assistance to ensure that we didn’t miss any of the islands attractions. Because she lives locally, the owner was available for help and advice, which she happily gave, at all times. A great help for guests unfamiliar with Barbados!
The self-contained apartment had everything that we needed, and was spotlessly clean, tidy and well-maintained. It is only a short walk to the beach, local shops and the town centre, so is ideally positioned for holidaymakers.
We couldn’t have wished for a friendlier or more helpful landlady, who welcomed us as part of her own family, and so we would have no hesitation in strongly recommending this apartment for your next Barbados holiday.

Sometimes your mind and body needs to unwind. If you enjoy simple and spectaclar beauty and exotic tropical appeal, "Alamanda House" is where you should stay. The house is nestled in a beautiful exotic tropical garden. There is a patio with a umbrella topped table and padded chairs, Ideal for entertaining. There also is a terrace that overlooks the garden. The tranquilty and beauty relaxed my mind and body and took away all the stress of everyday life.The home was very clean and had everything that you needed to feel at home. Vonda, the owner, was wonderful and at your disposal if needed.I had the pleasure of sighting a family of monkeys feeding on a mango tree while I was there. The monkeys posed to have their pictures taken before moving on.I enjoyed every minute of the 3 weeks that I was there and plan to return soon.

This property was fantastic - just what we wanted. A nice little one bedroom apartment - although there is a sofa bed in the lounge - everything is provided with the exception of beach towels. Very well equipped and having the owner next door is invaluable - she is a mine of information and very helpful.

In August my friend and I stayed at Alamanda. It was wonderful. I have stayed in several different apartments on sunset crest over the past 6 years and I have to say this one was by far the best. Compared to previous rentals this was is very spacious. It has a large kitchen, excellent for those staying longer than 2 weeks and need to cook. The Patio was lovely as we spent some evenings relaxing & grilling fish on the barbeque.
The apartment was spotless with towels & bedding regularly changed. What was most pleasent, the owner made sure we had everything we needed.
I could go on and on about how much I enjoyed my stay, but wont bore you, I'm just pleased I have found my perfect apartment which doesn't break the bank for my future vacations to Barbados.

I stayed at the alamanda in june 2008 for 7 nights and it was wonderful. The guest house was a private home set in a lovey tropical garden, with a terrace to eat on and a patio with a umbrella table to entertain on. The apartment was spacious and very clean. Everything that you would need at home was supplied. The property is near good restraurants and the beach is within walking distant.Public transportion is nearby and many things are within walking distant. the owner was very friendly and a delight to know. I loved every minute there and plan to return soon.

This property is excellent. The lady who lives in the adjoining house is lovely and sees that you have everything you need. The property was as described, well maintained and the cleanest I have ever stayed in.

My wife and I stayed for 13 nights in January 2008.
The owner lives in an adjacent bungalow and keeps the place spotless.Towels and bedding were changed many times ,beds were very comfortable,lounge spacious and well furnished,kitchen and bathroom well equiped and hot water always on tap.The adjacent pool,which we had use of ,was very pleasant and clean.The bungalow was private and in a quiet location (apart from the monkeys on the roof in the early morning ! ) in fact quite a home from home and excellent value ! We did not hire a car,but got to most parts of this lovely island by bus (ridiculously cheap) and lots of walking.
